I find that starting a high-class jewellery collection at the beginning of a devastating worldwide depression to be the height of elitism and totally crass! It shows that Chanel did not care one iota about the people, only the upper-class elite. It's sickening to be dangling jewels like these in front of people who are struggling to find food to feed their starving families! I couldn't think of a worse time to start a collection such as this and I definitely would not be so arrogant to be using this even now to assume that we would think this to be acceptable. Let me tell you Chanel- it is NOT! Whoever you have hired for your PR, they are out of touch with the people. Of course, you don't care for the rest of society, only the elite, yet it doesn't make it right to be flaunting items such as this whilst telling this appalling story. All you have done here is create a larger divide between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'. You could have shown a lovely collection of jewels that we can lust over whilst knowing they would be out of our reach instead of using such an inappropriate storyline. You've lost me with this one Chanel.
I miss the previous voice, her pace was better, more enveloping… also the French of this new voice is lacking, there are at least 2 accents missing, both on 4:49 :sociEtE and cAritE not societ & charit
I hope BTS' Jimin will be invited to the Chanel show along with Black Pink's Jennie. It will be a show unlike any other in history that will become legendary.
I don't know about the situation at that time… whilst knowing that people were facing difficult times and a person (CHANEL) dismantled the jewels first given to her by the Duke of Westminster… she engaged herself soully in making something out of this world which spoke her mind that had a vision of liberation at that time because all of that things she went along with , being an orphanage , working hard, sewing at the Abbey of Aubazine which sparked her fascination to create. She undoubtedly made one of the finest things on this planet that are still lust upon and to be dazzled setting up a runway to the creation. She earned the respect and she was supporting that time to make her country become the highlighted one among the map which was not I assume to be there if she didn't crafted and created. Although without the support of the men I think and I assume and I believe she would have been nothing and there wouldn't be any CHANEL that we all look upto to as an inspiration because I believe that time was crucial and men were all over the place either power or anything… so a woman , an orphanage , a woman with limited needs wouldn't get the name , although the men who helped her BOY CAPEL , DUC OF WESTMINSTER , DIMITRI from the great BOLSHEVIK; set her up , she had the support and at that time I believe she created and left a name an EMBLEM for the whole FRANCE to be known for as to be valued for , as to be called for…
I don't know why people are complaining about this video to be boring I mean seriously , it makes you feel focused and great about yourself , there's something about these CHANEL graphics that they are providing such marvelously indigenous videos that sparkle your inner self to be esteemed and dedicated as to set up the muse CHANEL for yourself… she liberated women and CHANEL I think doesn't mean that you buy CHANEL so you'll be valued or called classic, it's about , all about , whole heartedly about yourself. Whatever your wear , the dedication and class in yourself appears to be as the stars out in the night sky each one having a stream of light and individuality .
Massive respect to the GRAPHICS team and artists who are involved in making these gems… because these GRAPHICS are a style statement and every graphic designer must must must see the creativity.
