The 2025 World System Integrator Conference (WSIC) officially commenced today (March 19) at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2. Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs, Yi-Jing Lin, welcomed distinguished guests from Taiwan and abroad on behalf of the Ministry of Digital Affairs (moda). The event also featured an opening remarks by Mr. Brian Shen, Chairman of the Information Service Industry Association of R.O.C. (CISA) and Vice Chairman of the Asia-Pacific region of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).
With 215 industry professionals and representatives from domestic and international associations in attendance, the conference provided an opportunity to discuss global trends and case studies in digital service system integration. The event also included business matchmaking sessions, fostering international collaboration opportunities for Taiwanese enterprises.
As AI technology rapidly advances worldwide, nations are accelerating their digital transformation efforts to enhance urban governance and industrial development. This year’s WSIC focuses on “AI-driven Smart City Collaboration Across Borders”. The event has invited key international organizations and ICT industry associations, including:

Through in-depth industry dialogues and exchanges, the conference explores new AI-driven collaborative opportunities, strengthening Taiwan’s partnerships with global markets and advancing international applications of smart solutions for mutual growth.
Deputy Minister Yi-Jing Lin emphasized Taiwan’s significant contributions to the digital industry, particularly in AI semiconductor manufacturing, where it plays a crucial global role. A majority of the world’s cutting-edge AI semiconductors are produced in Taiwan, and the country maintains strong ties with leading global technology companies.
The moda remains committed to fostering international collaborations, leveraging Taiwan’s strengths in AI to create new business opportunities and enhance Taiwan’s competitiveness in the global digital economy.
The Ministry actively assists Taiwanese enterprises in expanding overseas markets by integrating industry supply chains, promoting Taiwan’s smart solutions, and facilitating connections with international organizations. These efforts help domestic companies understand global market demands, leading to the international adoption of smart solutions and digital technology services.
At this year’s WSIC, Deputy Minister Yi-Jing Lin witnessed the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Taiwanese and international enterprises, including: YC Holdings Inc., CocoTree Technology, International Integrated Systems, Inc. (IISI), AUO Display Plus Corporation; with the Partners from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
These five MOUs cover key areas such as:

•Net-Zero Strategy Collaboration:

•Intelligence Forest Carbon Assessment:

These partnerships will further drive Taiwan’s digital technology into global markets, creating cross-border business opportunities and enhancing global competitiveness.
Additionally, a business matchmaking session was held following the conference, featuring one-on-one meetings between 10 Taiwanese companies and overseas businesses to explore potential partnerships and future collaborations.
