Can you make this recipe in an oven?
Prepare 200 grams of red dates. Place in a bowl and rinse with water
After cleaning, drain the water and place the dates in another bowl for later use.
Pour a bowl of water into a pot. Cover the pot and bring the water to a high boil.
Once the water boils, pour in the dates. Cover and simmer for five minutes.
Drain the water from the dates and place into a bowl. Take out the pits from the dates using a plastic straw.
Pour in the dates in a food processor then grind them.
Pour in the ground dates into a bowl. Mix in 2 eggs, 3 grams of yeast powder and 100 ml fresh milk. Mix together with chopsticks, then add flour little by little, depending on your preferred consistency. Mix again.
Cover with plastic wrap then leave in warm temperature to expand.
In another bowl, prepare a handful of raisins. Pour in water and add a little starch to rinse the raisins. Wash a few times then set aside.
Remove the plastic wrap from the batter then mix with chopsticks. Set aside after mixing
Prepare a few bowls then brush the bottom and sides with oil. Fill the bottom of the bowls with sesame seeds then pour in the batter. Make sure the bowls are only 70% full.
Smoothen the surface of the batter with a spatula. Top the batter with raisins, and some sesame seeds again.
Put the bowls in the steamer. Cover and steam for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, switch to high heat. Wait for the water to boil then steam for another 25 minutes.
After 25.minutes, don’t open the lid yet. Let simmer for another 5 minutes for the batter not to collapse.
After 5 minutes, take out the bowls from the steamer. Take out the cakes from the bowls using a knife and serve.

I know it takes effort to do the captions for EVERYTHING she is saying but it makes me sad that they aren’t in depth as they used to be. She’s explaining things that we non-speakers don’t see anymore. Example: on another video she used starch to get rid of a fishy flavor and I only know why she used the starch because someone translated in the comments. 😭
