So me and my bf tried the scallion pancakes. They were okay, a little lacking in flavour perhaps. We both agreed it wasn't worth the effort to make again but it was a fun experience. If anyone did want to make them tho, here's a few things we learnt:
1. Don't roll out the dough too thin before cooking or you'll end up with something that is too dry with little flavour. 2. If you don't have the thing she used to cook it in, a regular frying pan will do. Do put the lid on tho – we found this helped retain some moisture and added more spring onion flavour. 3. A tiny sprinkling of salt once cooked helps immensely in bringing out the flavour. We dipped ours in some garlic chili sauce too which was nice.
