This fish is very popular in my country, people here cook it as Bandeng Presto.
I prefer to cook this fish as a soup with herbs. My favourite part of this fish is a belly, this part is so soft and juicy because it contain a fat. Hmmm… yummy 🤤😍

The way the fish is prepared is really amazing. Would really love to have that fish belly and set it a a grill. It has a sweet meat and really nice texture. Only problem is the amount of spines it has.

That's a fat milkfish. The kind we have in the Philippines is smaller and flatter. That said, this fish or the Filipino variety, the smaller/younger ones are still the best tasting for me just like with shrimp.
