The wedding “pie” is a Taiwanese wedding tradition that is given to the bride’s family and friends by the groom as a gift. They are distributed by the bride (and her parents and siblings) before the wedding date. The reason for this gift is because traditionally the bride’s side of guests don’t go to the wedding banquet as the bride is viewed to be married into the groom’s family. There is a separate banquet for the bride’s family and friends at a later date as a gesture of appreciation from the groom’s family. The tradition of holding separate wedding banquets is often simplified in the modern society in which the bride’s family and friends are invited to the main wedding banquet. However some couples still follow the traditional wedding practice. These wedding pies come in both savory and sweet fillings, and the outer shell is flaky and sweet. A more popular choice amongst young people these days is the western style cookies.
看完麻薯看肉饼真的好想去台湾啊😭😭😭😭
Thank you

shallot peeling, the most thankless job, actually Onion pealing in general can go to hell? I have peeled a lot of onions for family events, that required lots of food, and I am of the opinion that humanity need to invent an onion peeler before we move to space!
China / Taiwan?
Porra pelo menos pararam de comer morcegos e cachorros.
i was so confused when i see people peeling the shallots after reading the title
So it’s like an Asian pupusa. Got it.
O que é que ele descascou?
Day in and day out with no shortcuts, just prime efficiency and love for what they do. The more videos I watch, the greater my awe for Taiwan and Chinese cooking/baking. Just phenomenal the work that goes in.
