I agree with what 彤彤 said about colleges & universities not having updated information about the current working world's needed skillsets and whatnot. The assignments are still only assignments, they are not able to hit any realistic expectations of the working world. However, is it really not the school's responsibility? Are they really not the ones to be blamed? I disagree.

1. Students are being charged a lot of money for the courses. Students paid to get educated, students paid so we are able to gain knowledge that will enable us to enter the workforce. Okay, maybe the students' parents paid, or they got a loan, or whatever. The point is, a hefty amount of money is in concern here. Why are students paying such a large sum to gain outdated information that once students enter the working world as working adults, they have to relearn most of the things that we have learned from schools? Does any of this make any sense? Are students there for the knowledge and information or are they actually there for a certificate?

2. Why are the courses marketed by schools always being claimed to be on par and up to standard when they are clearly not, as you have proclaimed in this video? As someone who has graduated myself, I remember vividly that counsellors will always promote their courses and claim that they will teach the students what they need to learn to enter the workforce. I am not a marketing major, neither did I study law, though I would like to know if this is considered false advertisement. Students have invested so much time, effort, money and also TRUST into schools that we will graduate with more competitive knowledge that what we are getting. Would anyone agree with me that this trust is being abused for most students?

3. The industry actually PROMOTES this sort of cycle. How so? For any professional job out there, they always require a Bachelor's Degree or some sort. The students graduate with that degree, go into the workforce, and realise that they have to relearn everything. Do companies out there not mind this process? Is this just a normal thing that should happen? Why is a Bachelor's Degree still a requirement when the moment students go in, they realise they do not know how things work? Wouldn't it be more practical to look for working experience? To give a chance to people without the degree and groom those potential candidates? Is the world really not at fault for these things that are happening?

Are they not to blame?
