This traditional Hainan folk dish uses beet, fried tofu, hair dishe, vermicelli and so on, more than a dozen kinds of vegetable dishes have their own meanings, in order to ensure safety and good luck, and refuge in the coming year. After the commercialization of this delicacy, the Zhaicaibao has been added with meat for consumption. It is also a very popular Hainanese hot pot.
